Job description

Job Title: Warehouse/Distribution Operator Location: Plainfield, IN Type: Contract Compensation: $24.61 - $28.97 (Based on experience) Contractor Work Model: Onsite Hours: TBD Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Warehouse Distribution Operator to support daily warehouse operations, including receiving, inventory management, order fulfillment, and shipping activities. This role requires experience operating powered industrial equipment, utilizing warehouse management systems, and maintaining a safe, efficient work environment. Responsibilities:

  • Support order processing activities including picking, packing, shipping, and inventory transactions.
  • Receive, unload, and put away manufactured products and raw materials.
  • Verify quantities received against shipping documentation and enter receipts into the Warehouse Management System (WMS).
  • Pick and pack customer orders accurately using warehouse management and RF scanning systems.
  • Perform cycle counts and inventory control activities to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Process materials for disposal or destruction according to established procedures.
  • Operate powered industrial equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
  • Comply with all applicable safety, quality, and regulatory requirements, including OSHA, FDA, and DEA guidelines.
  • Support operational goals while maintaining accuracy, productivity, and quality standards.
  • Maintain reliable attendance and punctuality for all scheduled shifts.
  • Assist with additional warehouse duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 5–7 years of experience in a distribution or warehouse environment.
  • Experience using electronic Warehouse Management Systems (WMS/EWM), such as SAP, Exacta, and RF scanners.
  • 3–5 years of experience operating multiple types of Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT), including:
    • Swing Reach Truck
    • Stand-Up Forklift
    • Cherry Picker
    • Rider Pallet Jack
    • Sit-Down Forklift
  • Ability to safely operate two or more types of powered industrial equipment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
  • Flexibility to cross-train and perform multiple warehouse functions.
  • Willingness to work overtime with minimal notice as business needs require.
  • Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to learn new systems and processes.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive movements throughout the shift.
  • Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to work in a temperature-controlled environment, including chilled areas ranging from 36°F to 46°F.
  • Ability to safely operate warehouse equipment and perform physical warehouse duties.
