THE OPPORTUNITY

We are seeking a reliable and professional Driver to join our team. This role involves performing onsite client pickups of decommissioned IT equipment, ensuring secure handling and transport in accordance with company and industry data security standards. The ideal candidate demonstrates a commitment to safe driving practices, excellent customer service, and reliable schedule management. Prior experience in logistics or ITAD services is a plus, but not required.


  • Schedule:Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Additional hours and schedule flexibility may be required based on client pickup needs.
  • Compensation: $70,304 annual salary, plus extended travel bonuses.
  • Reports to: Warehouse Manager


Position responsibilities include both local and regional client pickups. Regional trips may take you a few hours away-or even a few states away-so you must be comfortable traveling by truck or plane as needed.


This role involves travel away from home about 50% of the time.We care deeply about work-life balance and collaborate with our drivers to build schedules that are efficient, realistic, and human. You'll always receive as much advance notice as possible before each trip.


This position has various responsibilities; driving, loading & unloading, managing inventory, general warehouse duties, and processing (sorting) electronics. The perfect fit will be someone adaptable, who loves being a team player.

THE DAY TO DAY:

  • Follow assigned pickup and delivery routes
  • Deliver exceptional customer service during client interactions
  • Safely load, transport, and unload equipment and materials
  • Maintain regular communication with clients, partners, and team members via phone and email
  • Complete vehicle inspections and maintain required documentation
  • Research and evaluate the resale value of incoming electronic equipment
  • Sort and process materials according to company procedures
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, power lifts, and other material-handling equipment
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of vehicles, equipment, tools, and work areas
  • Support cross-functional teams and assist with departmental needs as required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift, carry, push, or pull up to 100 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to sit and/or stand for consecutive hours.
  • Ability to work in a warehouse environment with some temperature fluctuations, moderate noise, and a fast-paced, busy atmosphere.

  • Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbally and in writing, sufficient to safely perform the essential functions of the position and communicate with clients, teammates, and regulatory agencies.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license and a satisfactory motor vehicle record are required, as driving is an essential function of this position.
  • Employment is contingent upon successfully completing any legally permissible pre-employment drug screening, in accordance with applicable California law.
    • Because this position includes safety-sensitive duties, employees are expected to report to work fit for duty and free from impairment that would interfere with the safe performance of their job responsibilities.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a background check conducted in compliance with California's Fair Chance Act and other applicable laws.
  • Overnight travelis required and may be up to 50% of the time, depending on routes and assignments
  • Must possess a valid DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate (Medical Card), or be willing and able to obtain one after accepting an offer of employment and prior to the start date. The DOT Medical Card verifies that an individual meets the physical qualification standards established by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to operate a commercial motor vehicle. If applicable, ER2 will provide guidance, allow time to complete the examination, and cover the associated costs in accordance with FMCSA regulations.
  • Excellent driving and navigation skills
  • Experience driving larger vehicles is a definite plus, not required(will be driving a 26-foot box truck)
