Job description

Electronic Tech Infrastructure Maint

Company:

The Boeing Company
Boeing is currently seeking Electronic Maintenance Infrastructure Technicians to join our Facilities team supporting our South Puget Sound sites. We have positions available in Renton, Puyallup, Auburn, Seattle, Kent, Tukwila, Fredrickson WA.

This role involves installation, service, maintenance, upgrades, and modification of process equipment, alarm systems, fire panels, cranes, RF systems, tank lines and waste treatment plants.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Use technical knowledge, existing procedures (or develop new procedures), and internal/external resources to diagnose and correct equipment or system malfunctions

  • Modify, test, calibrate, and document system configurations to meet compliance requirements

  • Use various types of computing systems or electronic/electrical test equipment to test accuracy of electronic/electrical components/systems

  • Work with Management, Engineering, equipment manufacturers, vendors, and other organizations to analyze and make recommendations on facility and equipment design requirements, capability and improvements

Physical Demands and Potential Hazards:

  • Perform physical tasks that include lifting weights ranging from 10-15 lbs to 15-35 lbs.

  • Engage in various movements such as reaching, handling, turning, twisting, lifting, lowering, climbing, balancing, bending, kneeling, crouching, and squatting.

  • Work in environments that may involve contact with metals, solvents, and coolants.

  • Operate in proximity to moving parts and tools, sharp cutters, and potential slipping hazards.

  • Adapt to varying noise levels and atmospheric conditions.

  • Utilize personal safety gear to protect face/eyes, hands/arms, and feet while performing job duties.

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

Basic Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in electronics or electrical troubleshooting

  • Experience conducting inspection & testing of fire protection equipment (Building Sprinkler Systems, Fire Extinguishers, Fire Alarm Systems, Code/Policy violations, etc.)

  • Willing to work any shift and overtime as needed

  • Willing to work at heights up to 125 feet above ground level with appropriate safety gear

  • Must be able to pass Fall Protection Training

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience troubleshooting programmable logic controllers (PLC)

  • Experience troubleshooting AC and DC drives, VFDs, servo systems, and/or fire panels

  • Troubleshoot communication protocols to enable transmission and receipt of information between various systems to analyze networks. Utilize open computing architecture to troubleshoot within multiple integrated systems in order to determine appropriate repair.
