Shift 1 (United States of America)
As an Electrical Assembler, you'll contribute to the quality and reliability of industrial systems that customers depend on every day. You'll work on-site in Whitewater, Wisconsin, at Coperion FHN, a Hillenbrand company. We design and manufacture feeding and material handling equipment that measures and moves material used in manufacturing. Your work will support safe operations, steady production, and long-term growth by helping deliver equipment that works the right way, every day. This is a hands-on opportunity to build lasting technical skills in a clean, well-organized production environment with a consistent schedule.
Location: Whitewater, WI
Shift: 1st shift
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 6:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.; Friday, 6:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
  • Diagnose, repair, and rebuild electronic products and components to meet customer and production requirements.
  • Build, wire, and inspect electrical panels and cable assemblies according to drawings, specifications, and schedules.
  • Perform skilled fitting by mounting chassis, panels, parts, and subassemblies with attention to accuracy and workmanship.
  • Inspect, organize, and test circuits and equipment to verify functionality and quality standards.
  • Use measurement devices to validate electrical performance and troubleshoot issues.
  • Support lean manufacturing practices by maintaining a safe, organized, and efficient 5S work area.
  • Follow ISO 9001 quality standards, work instructions, and procedures to ensure consistent results.

  • You'll work closely with a team of assemblers, technicians, and operations partners who value collaboration, respect, and shared accountability. Your contributions will support broader manufacturing goals and help the team deliver reliable solutions that strengthen Coperion's and Hillenbrand's long-term success.

THE EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES NEEDED:
  • An associate degree in electronics, electronic technology, or equivalent hands-on experience, typically 2-4 years in electronic assembly or wiring.
  • Experience reading and interpreting electrical and mechanical blueprints and schematics.
  • Working knowledge of common electrical measurement devices and test equipment.
  • Ability to assemble, wire, and inspect panels and cable assemblies with consistency and attention to detail.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation, instructions, and production systems.
  • A dependable work style with a strong sense of responsibility and follow-through.
  • Comfort working in a structured, process-driven manufacturing environment with quality and safety standards.
  • Willingness to learn, adapt, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
