Together, the hard work of our staff and team members supports critical operations that make a difference and advance human achievement.The U.S. Air Force (USAF) and Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) has a requirement for operations and maintenance (O&M) of complex Threat Systems, support equipment, system spare parts, special tools, test equipment, and depot level documentation under the Alaskan Range Combat Training Integrated Comm and Support (ARCTICS) contract. The JPARC can field and operate systems to represent realistic Threat capabilities for Red Flag Alaska exercises based at Eielson Air Force Base located near Fairbanks, Alaska, and similar events with the USAF.Department: Alaska Range Combat Training Integrated Communications and Support (ARCTICS) Contract Overview:The Electronics Maintenance Technician I (Radar Tech I) supports the maintenance, repair, and operation of assigned threat systems under the ARCTICS contract, including Unmanned Mobile Threat Emitters. The position ensures operational readiness by performing routine tasks, following technical orders (TOs), and adhering to Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) guidelines. Working under close supervision, Tech I plays a vital role in supporting Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex (JPARC) training missions.Responsibilities:•Perform routine maintenance, including periodic, scheduled, unscheduled, and preventative checks, following TOs and OEM documentation.•Replace components, wire circuits, repair simple electronic equipment, and conduct configuration management.•Use test instruments such as digital multi-meters, oscilloscopes, and signal generators to verify system functionality.•Operate assigned threat systems to prepare radars and equipment for scheduled training events, ensuring threat-faithful performance during JPARC operations.•Track, manage, and replenish spares inventory to ensure system readiness.•Interface with Air Force depot systems to ensure accurate reporting on supported threat systems.•Prepare and submit reports, including Proposed Spare Parts Lists and Inventory/Utilization Data.•Work under close supervision, receiving frequent technical guidance and support from supervisors or senior technicians.Qualifications:•High school diploma or equivalent; technical training in electronics preferred.•1-2 years of experience in electronics maintenance or repair.•Familiarity with Unmanned Mobile Threat Emitters or similar systems preferred.•Proficiency in using electronic test equipment such as multi-meters and oscilloscopes.•Ability to follow Air Force TOs and OEM documentation.•Strong communication and teamwork skills.•Eligible for DoD security clearance.Physical Requirements:•Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.•Willingness to work outdoors and travel to support range operations.This position is essential in maintaining and operating advanced threat systems to ensure successful JPARC training missions.Additional Requirements:Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.Arcata Associates, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and supports a drug-free environment.Arcata Associates is an Equal Opportunity / Affirmative Action employer.
