Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain marine navigation and communication systems aboard commercial vessels.
  • Working independently at customer sites, you'll diagnose equipment issues, perform installations and software updates, test system performance, and complete detailed service documentation.
  • Test, calibrate, and adjust electronic systems.
  • Load, configure, and update equipment software and firmware.
  • Interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, technical manuals, and blueprints.
  • Diagnose electronic and system-level faults using test equipment.
  • Complete detailed service reports.
  • Provide professional customer service aboard vessels and in shipyards.
  • Servicing Equipment: Marine radar systems, ECDIS, satellite communications (Satcom), HF and VHF radios, GPS navigation systems, gyrocompasses, autopilot systems, echo sounders, and sonar systems.

Must-Have Skills, Experience, and Education:
  • 3+ years of experience as an Electronics Technician (ET), Marine Electronics Technician (MET), Missile System Electronics (MSE), Aviation Electronics Technician (AT), or similar technical role.
  • Experience in commercial marine electronics or military electronics from the U.S. Navy, Coast Guard, or Marine Corps.
  • Associate degree in electronics or equivalent technical training and experience.
  • Strong understanding of electronics theory, troubleshooting, and circuit analysis.
  • FCC General Radiotelephone Operator License with Radar Endorsement and GMDSS Radio Operator Maintainer License preferred.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
