GENERAL FUNCTION

The Senior Hardware Designer will contribute to the development of new products and related activities.

 

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develops and implements the electronic circuits of new products
  • Documents the design
  • Participates in electronic and mechanical design reviews
  • Works with the low-level software team to bring up electronic boards and battery management algorithms
  • Develops test plans to ensure production quality
  • Follows up with Humanware’s development partners
  • Oversees product certification work
  • Ensures the transfer of new products to production
  • Collaborates with production on product maintenance
  • Contributes to the execution of Engineering Change Requests

 

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering (or equivalent experience) and at least 10 years of experience in circuit design and embedded systems development
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in electronic design software (Altium is considered an asset), strong interest in new technologies, as well as knowledge and experience in project management (asset).
  • Behavioral skills: Recognized for teamwork and ability to collaborate within multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and high-pressure environment. Strong analytical mindset, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Structured, dynamic, and autonomous, adaptable to change, rigorous, and driven by innovation.
