Job description

Interactive Technologies currently has an opening for an electronic equipment assembly technician to join the team that manufactures our entertainment lighting control products.

Our ideal candidate is capable of light electronics assembly, and has experience with basic electronics. Interest in or experience with laser engraving equipment, 3D printing, and UV printing are also highly desired. Specific knowledge of computer controlled lighting systems and/or DMX-based lighting systems is a plus, though not required.

Initially, the employee will handle basic product assembly, programming, and testing. Additionally, the employee will assist with the receipt and storage of raw or semi-finished materials for manufacturing. Employee has an opportunity to advance to operation of our laser engraving, UV printing, and 3D printing workflows. With time, the employee will learn to troubleshoot production defects at the component level and may begin to assume more responsibilities working with component vendors, subassembly contractors, and our manufacturing pipeline.

This position provides excellent further growth potential for the employee who learns our industry and has skills and/or interest in order fulfillment, customer service, software development, or electronics design.


Skills/Qualifications

  • Light electronic production, assembly, soldering
  • Electronic product testing
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair electronic circuitry, including SMD solder rework is a plus
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Focus on quality and organization
  • Willingness to work in a highly dynamic environment with changing priorities
  • Strong work ethic, character, integrity, teachable, honest, and reliable
  • Good computer skills
  • Enthusiastic about working for a small, growing company in a unique industry
  • Experience with DMX lighting control systems is a plus
