Job description

Job Opportunity: Accounting Manager

Location: Jesup, Georgia | Full-Time, On-Site

Innovative Outsourcing is proud to partner with McDaniel Supply to recruit a dedicated and experienced Accounting Manager. Since 1972, McDaniel Supply has built a strong reputation as a family-owned and values-driven organization serving the region. We are seeking a finance expert to lead their financial operations team at their headquarters in Jesup, Georgia, and bring a higher level of structure, accuracy, and process discipline to the department.

This is a critical, hands-on leadership role designed for an individual who can oversee daily financial processes while managing a talented team of approximately 11 staff members.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to ownership, you will take ownership of the processes that keep the business-and its clients' money-accurate, secure, and on time.

  • Lead & Develop the Team: Manage a team of ~11 staff members with clear expectations, regular coaching, and accountability. Build a culture where problems are surfaced early, and cross-train team members to ensure operational continuity.
  • Financial Oversight & Control: Own end-to-end financial operations, including AR/AP, deposits, and ACH activity. Implement robust, preventive financial checks and balances to catch errors before funds move.
  • Reconciliation & Invoicing: Manage deposit reconciliation (including kiosk/prison funds) and ensure every facility receives accurate, timely, and well-supported invoicing. Address the root causes of recurring errors.
  • Chargeback & Fraud Management: Research, document, and respond to disputes; track volume, win rates, and emerging fraud patterns to minimize loss.
  • KPI Reporting: Define and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) regarding aging, collections, payment accuracy, and processing times. Partner with IT to resolve system integration issues and provide clear data to ownership.
  • Process Documentation: Document procedures across all financial functions, regularly test them for weaknesses, and implement corrective actions.

Qualifications

  • Progressive experience in accounting or financial operations, including team leadership in an AR/AP, billing, or high-volume transaction environment.
  • Hands-on experience with high-volume reconciliation and building proactive financial controls (preventing errors rather than just catching them).
  • Strong financial acumen, including high-level understanding of debits, credits, and electronic payment processing (ACH/Chargebacks).
  • Ability to define and report meaningful KPIs, recognize trends, and translate findings into corrective action.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word; comfort with accounting/operational software (training on proprietary in-house systems provided).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration preferred; CPA or CMA designation is a bonus.

Culture & Values

McDaniel Supply is a faith-based company that prioritizes its people for the long haul. Their culture is rooted in a set of core values: Focused, Adaptable, Integrity, Teamwork, and Humble.
Compensation & Benefits

  • Salary Range: Starting around $85,000 – $100,000, commensurate with experience.
  • Comprehensive Benefits:
    • Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance.
    • Life Insurance (Company-paid: $25,000).
    • 401(k) Plan (with 3% company contribution after 1 year).
    • Paid Time Off (10 days accrual for years 0-4) + 7 Paid Holidays.
    • Additional perks: AD&D, Critical Illness, Accident/Hospital Indemnity coverage, EAP, bereavement/jury duty leave, and access to the RightNow Media digital streaming library.

Schedule & Location

  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Location: Fully on-site in Jesup, Georgia.
