ASCP Senior Medical Technologist - Full Time
Evening / Night Shift with Rotating Weekends & Holidays
** Sign-On Bonus Eligible **
MLee Healthcare is currently looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Medical Technologist to take on a leadership role within our laboratory team. This position involves overseeing laboratory operations, performing complex tests, and ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of diagnostic procedures. Your expertise will be instrumental in maintaining our commitment to delivering top-tier quality and excellence in patient care, making a significant impact within our healthcare community.
Responsibilities for a Senior Medical Technologist:
  • Perform and oversee a variety of complex laboratory tests on specimens including blood, urine, and other bodily fluids.
  • Supervise and mentor laboratory staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Evaluate and implement new laboratory techniques and procedures to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare providers to interpret test results and provide clinical correlation.
Requirements for a Senior Medical Technologist:
  • Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • ASCP or equivalent certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS).
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with progressive responsibility (preferred) .
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to effectively supervise and motivate a team.
  • NYS License.
  • Proficiency with laboratory information systems (LIS) and electronic medical records (EMR).
