Job description

Electronic Design and Analysis Engineer 3 Position Description

This position requires the ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship as a condition of employment. The Company Defense, Space & Security (BDS) team is seeking a Design and Analysis Engineer located in Berkeley, MO.

  • Assists with the development and documentation of electronic and electrical system requirements.
  • Develops or modifies basic hardware and software designs based on defined requirements.
  • Performs system tests to verify operational and functional requirements.
  • Supports fabrication technicians and suppliersโ€™ questions during build and fabrication process.
  • Supports resolution of product integration issues and production anomalies.
  • Supports handsโ€‘on troubleshooting of test racks.
  • Performs acceptance test procedures to demonstrate conformance to design and document results.
  • Develop and maintain scripts used to run test functions using C and C++.
  • Researches basic technologies for potential application to company business needs.
Requirements

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science.
  • 5+ years of workโ€‘related experience with a Bachelorโ€™s degree or 3 years of workโ€‘related experience with a Masterโ€™s degree.

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Strong problemโ€‘solving and debugging skills.
  • Experience with laboratory test equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong foundation in C, C++, and Python.
  • Siemens Capital experience.

Bachelor's degree and typically 5 or more yearsโ€™ experience in an engineering classification or a Masterโ€™s degree with typically 3 or more yearsโ€™ experience in an engineering classification or a PhD degree with experience in an engineering classification. Bachelor, Master or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry. ABET is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
