Description
Skyworks is looking for a hands-on technician to join our Newbury Park Equipment Engineering Team supporting the Fab and Final Process areas. Shift - NBP A1 (Week 1-SUMT 5:30am-5:35pm); (Week 2-SUMTW 5:30am-5:35pm).
Responsibilities
  • Dismantles, adjusts, repairs, and assembles equipment according to schematics, blueprints, drawings, and operating or repair manuals.
  • Performs preventive and routine maintenance and repairs on semiconductor manufacturing equipment following work instructions and manufacturer manuals.
  • Follows processes and operational policies in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions to all production equipment in a specific area.
  • Performs electrical/mechanical troubleshooting to determine problems in non-functioning electro-mechanical production equipment used in the Fab.
  • Performs set-up, calibration, and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment.
  • Rebuilds and repairs manufacturing equipment as required.
  • Performs equipment modifications as directed by Equipment Engineering.
  • Works on complex assignments requiring judgment in resolving issues or making recommendations to the Engineering community.
  • Opporutnity to participate as a contributing member of the Emergency Response Team.

Required Experience and Skills
  • HS diploma with 4 years of experience in a production and/or faced pace environment.
  • Experience with common hand tools as well as various electronic instruments.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects, such as pumps during removal and installation.
  • Pass a respiratory protection medical surveillance examination (if participating on the ERT team or a specific toolset).
  • Have a depth knowledge, understanding, and support of manufacturing process.
  • Be a self-starter and able to work with minimal supervision.
  • Able to work the overnight and compressed shift.

The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is currently USD $29.86 - $52.02 per hour. Starting base pay will depend on relevant experience and skills, training and education, business needs, market demands, the ultimate job duties and requirements, and work location. Skyworks has different base pay ranges for different work locations in the U.S. Benefits include access to healthcare benefits (including a premium-free medical plan option), a 401(k) plan and company match, an employee stock purchase plan, paid time off (including vacation, sick/wellness, parental leave), among others. Employees are eligible to participate in an incentive plan, and certain roles are also eligible for additional awards, including recognition and stock.
