Electronic/Digital Engineering
Location: Addison, Tx 
Work Type: Onsite - 100%

Electronic/Digital Engineering

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct HALT (Highly Accelerated Life Testing) on avionics and aerospace electronic products to identify design weaknesses and improve product reliability.
  • Perform environmental qualification testing in accordance with RTCA DO-160 requirements.
  • Operate and maintain environmental test equipment including:
    • Thermal Chambers
    • Temperature-Humidity Chambers
    • Thermal Shock Chambers
    • Altitude Chambers
    • Vibration Systems/Shakers
  • Develop and execute environmental test procedures and test plans.
  • Configure and perform LRU (Line Replaceable Unit) functional and environmental testing.
  • Monitor test parameters, collect data, and analyze results during qualification testing.
  • Troubleshoot test setup issues and support failure investigations.
  • Generate test reports, discrepancy reports, and qualification documentation.
  • Coordinate with Design, Systems, Hardware, Software, and Certification teams.
  • Support FAA, EASA, and military qualification programs as required.
  • Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and quality standards.
  • Maintain calibration and traceability records for test equipment.

Required Qualifications:

  • Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 5+ years of experience in aerospace, avionics, defense, or electronics environmental testing.
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • HALT Testing
    • Environmental Chamber Testing
    • Temperature Cycling
    • Thermal Shock Testing
    • Humidity Testing
    • Altitude Testing
    • Vibration Testing
  • Strong knowledge of RTCA DO-160 environmental qualification requirements.
  • Experience performing LRU validation and qualification testing.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings, schematics, and test procedures.
  • Experience using data acquisition systems and test instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and report generation.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting Tier 1 OEMs, or military aerospace programs.
  • Familiarity with:
    • MIL-STD-810
    • MIL-STD-461
    • ARP4754
    • ARP4761
  • Experience with environmental stress screening (ESS) and reliability growth testing.
  • Knowledge of avionics communication protocols and embedded electronics.
