About the role:
As a Electronics Technician II - Field Service & Customer Support you will be responsible for building, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting electronic assemblies, printed circuit boards (PCBs), and electromechanical systems. This role provides critical support to both field service operations and customers by diagnosing technical issues, performing repairs, assisting with product installations, and ensuring equipment reliability. The technician will work from engineering schematics, mechanical drawings, wiring diagrams, and assembly documentation to build and maintain high-quality products and support solutions.
You will report to the Manager of Inspection Services Tooling and Maintenance and be located at our Windsor Connecticut site. This is an onsite position that requires 5 days in office per week.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble electronic, electrical, and electromechanical systems from engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, and work instructions.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot electronic circuits, PCB assemblies, sensors, motors, power supplies, and control systems to component level.
  • Provide technical support to field service technicians, and internal stakeholders.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, PCB layouts, bills of materials (BOMs), and mechanical assembly drawings.

Qualifications:
  • Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience assembling, troubleshooting, and repairing electronic equipment.
  • Proficiency in soldering and electronic assembly techniques.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience building and repairing PCB assemblies and cable harnesses.
  • Proficiency using electrical and electronic test equipment.
  • Ability to perform detailed bench-level assembly and inspection work.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to distinguish wire colors and identify small electronic components.
