ASSEMBLY OPERATOR

JOB RESPONSIBILITIESEssential duties and responsibilities include the following.
Work Requirements
Operate and maintain automated/manual production equipment and tools necessary to perform the required electronic assembly process as primary job function.
Ability to read and correctly interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, process instructions, bills of material, and assembly and schematic drawings.
Possess a knowledge of surface mount components and the ability to identify resistors, capacitors, leaded components, and orientation markers.
Ability to correctly identify and verify components/parts for the job designated for production is correct and in acceptable condition before assembling.
Mount (load) components in correct feeder location onto surface mount machinery, using appropriate procedures and work instructions, to produce surface mount assemblies per specification.
Manually inspect assembly after component placement to verify orientation and placement prior to reflow process.
Ability to follow instruction and perform manual operation and completion of assembled units.
Possess the ability to be flexible and cross trained in multiple job function.
Communications
Must possess good communication skills. (English/Bilingual)
Must possess the ability to promote and maintain good relationships and communication with co-workers and counterparts.

1. Training from the equipment manufacturer.
2. On job training from a trained machine/assembly operator through previous employment.
3. History of operating/assembling equipment through previous employment.
