Job description

Electro-Mechanic
Join a stable and growing Hartford County, CT area pulp and paper manufacturing company known for its commitment to safety, teamwork, and operational excellence. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on maintenance professional seeking long-term career growth, competitive pay, and strong benefits.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
* Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain industrial electrical systems including PLCs, VFDs, motors, control circuits, and power distribution systems.
* Perform mechanical maintenance on pumps, bearings, gears, piping, hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, and other mill machinery.
* Execute preventive and predictive maintenance activities to maximize equipment reliability and production uptime.
* Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, ladder logic, and technical manuals while supporting fabrication, welding, rigging, and equipment installations.
Required Skills & Experience:
* 3-5+ years of industrial maintenance, millwright, or mechanic experience with strong electrical and controls knowledge.
* Experience troubleshooting PLCs, VFDs, motor controls, and industrial electrical systems.
* Ability to weld (MIG, TIG, Stick), perform mechanical repairs, and safely use maintenance and fabrication equipment.
* Ability to work overtime, rotating weekends, and participate in an on-call rotation schedule.
Preferred Skills & Experience:
* Industrial Maintenance Certification or related technical training.
* Experience in pulp & paper, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
Compensation & Benefits:
* $35-$40/hour based on experience
* Comprehensive benefits package plus additional on-call compensation
