Job description

We are hiring for an ELECTRO-MECHANICAL EXPERT. This is direct hire with benefits.
Salary: $30-$35/hr. depending on experience.

JOB MISSION:
To oversee and manage all assembly functions, including mechanical and electro-mechanical. Coordinating with the appropriate Project Managers to ensure all parts needed for assembly are received on time and with the Quality Control Department to ensure parts used in assemblies, and the assemblies themselves, are conforming to the requirements.

WORK PERFORMED / RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Build and monitor daily\weekly\monthly schedules for each process, team, and\or assembler as appropriate.
  • Issue work orders for assemblies.
  • Report production and\or ensure Assemblers and reporting production within the ERP system.
  • Ensure proper equipment and tools are available and in place.
  • Train employees with additional resources as requested.
  • Ensure all assemblies are inspected and verified.
  • Perform visual, functional and\or dimensional inspections when required.
  • Ensure all documentation is available for assembled and\or tested assemblies
  • Ensure accuracy and organize documentation as required for a work order.
  • Raise flags to the appropriate personnel whenever a nonconformance is suspected.
  • Monitor the assembly room.
  • Ensure compliance to the prescribed QMS processes.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES:

  • Ability to read & interpret mechanical blueprints\ drawings.
  • Ability to read & interpret electrical drawings.
  • Ability to develop and follow work instructions.
  • Able to work independently as well as in a team.
  • Time management skills.
  • Attention to details.
  • Computer skills - MS office.

EXPERIENCE & ABILITIES DESIRED:

  • IPC-A-620 Certified, Requirements and Acceptance for Cable and Wire Harness Assemblies
  • IPC-A-610 Certified, Acceptability of Electronics Assemblies
  • IPC-J-STD-001 Certified, Requirements for Soldered Electrical and Assemblies
  • Experience measuring parts with various hand tools such as calipers, height gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Awareness/knowledge of processes related to production.
  • Experience working with IC components.
  • Experience working with various equipment such as voltmeter, oscilloscope, power supply, calipers, height gages, micrometers, etc.
  • Awareness/knowledge of processes related to production.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience working with electronic boards and mechanical parts.

INTERFACES:
Production, Operations, Quality Control and Warehouse.
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Hours: 8am until 4:30pm (Overtime & Saturday availability when needed)
Pay: $30-$35 per hour
