Job description

Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to support product safety, regulatory compliance, and risk assessment activities for electrification products, including Battery, Charger, and Powertrain systems. The role involves working closely with design and development teams to ensure products meet industry safety standards and regulatory requirements across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
  • Review and interpret product requirements, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct risk assessments, DFMEA reviews, and compliance evaluations for electrified products.
  • Collaborate with design and development teams to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Develop and review technical documentation, compliance reports, and certification evidence.
  • Evaluate product safety, reliability, and performance against applicable industry standards.
  • Identify risks, recommend mitigation strategies, and drive corrective actions.
  • Monitor project progress, track compliance activities, and provide status updates to stakeholders.
  • Support product testing, validation, certification, and regulatory approval activities.
  • Lead technical discussions, product review meetings, and cross-functional collaboration efforts.
  • Apply engineering judgment to resolve safety, compliance, and design-related challenges.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree with relevant experience considered).
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Product Compliance, Certification, Functional Safety, Risk Assessment, or related fields.
  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, control systems, and engineering principles.
  • Experience with structured risk assessment methodologies (DFMEA, Hazard Analysis, Risk Management).
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and engineering documentation.
  • Experience using engineering software and computer-based analysis tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Functional Safety standards and Product Certification processes.
  • Experience with battery systems, chargers, power electronics, or electrified powertrain products.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Familiarity with global safety and regulatory compliance requirements.
