This position is the first step toward becoming a fully licensed electrician.

EXPERIENCE

$25.00–$30.00/hour

Full-time

2 years preferred

Build your electrical career with an established home-services company that values skilled work, dependable service, and long-term growth.

Fischer Services is looking for an Electrician Apprentice to join our electrical team. This is a hands-on opportunity for a dependable trainee who wants to deepen their residential service experience, learn from experienced electricians, and continue progressing toward certification. Our primary focus is residential service, repair, replacement, and upgrade work, with occasional light-commercial assignments appropriate to the employee’s training, certification, and required supervision.

What You’ll Do

Assist with troubleshooting, service, repair, replacement, and installation of residential electrical systems and components.

Support panel changes, service upgrades, lighting, switches, receptacles, dedicated circuits, EV chargers, generators, and other residential projects based on experience and supervision.

Perform limited light-commercial work when assigned and when permitted by applicable certification, scope, and supervision requirements.

Safely use hand tools, power tools, ladders, testing equipment, and personal protective equipment.

Follow the National Electrical Code, Washington requirements, company procedures, manufacturer specifications, and jobsite safety standards.

Maintain accurate job documentation and communicate clearly with the supervising electrician, dispatch, team members, and customers.

Keep work areas, vehicles, tools, and materials organized and professional.

Deliver respectful, courteous service in customers’ homes and protect Fischer Services’ reputation on every call.

What We’re Looking For

Active Washington State electrical trainee certificate/card in good standing; required throughout employment.

Approximately two years of documented electrical field experience preferred, ideally in residential service, repair, remodel, or installation work. Candidates with less experience and a strong foundation may also be considered.

Residential electrical experience strongly preferred; light-commercial exposure is a plus.

Current enrollment in, or eligibility to participate in, any registered apprenticeship program required for the work assigned, if applicable.

Working knowledge of basic electrical theory, tools, materials, safety practices, and residential wiring methods.

Ability to follow direction, accept coaching, solve problems, and steadily build technical skill.

Professional communication, dependable attendance, good judgment, and respect for customers’ homes and property.

Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record consistent with company requirements.

High school diploma or equivalent preferred.

Why Join Fischer Services

An established, well-run home-services organization with plumbing, heating and air, electrical, and restoration teams.

Consistent residential service experience that builds practical troubleshooting and customer-service skills.

Opportunities to learn alongside experienced professionals and continue advancing in the electrical trade.

A team environment built on safety, quality, accountability, professionalism, and doing the job right.

Competitive hourly pay based on verified experience, skills, certifications, and overall fit.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay range: $25.00–$30.00 per hour. Final starting pay will be based on documented electrical hours and experience, demonstrated skills, relevant training, certifications, and overall qualifications.

Benefits include medical and dental coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, paid vacation, Washington paid sick leave, and paid holidays, subject to eligibility and plan terms.

Physical and Work Requirements

Ability to work in occupied homes, shops, crawl spaces, attics, basements, and active jobsites in varying weather and environmental conditions.

Ability to stand, walk, climb ladders and stairs, bend, kneel, reach, and work overhead for extended periods.

Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.

Ability to travel locally to customer and jobsite locations and work occasional overtime or adjusted schedules based on service needs.

Ready to Grow With Us?

If you take pride in safe, quality work and want to build a lasting career in residential electrical service, we would like to hear from you. Apply with your résumé and current Washington electrical trainee card information.
