• Seeking Experienced or Journeyman Electrician
Job Description
Energy Systems Southeast, LLC (ESSE), is currently searching for Journeyman Electrician or Experienced Electrician. We are growing and seeking new team members to grow with us.
We currently have projects that consists of installing 30kW to 500kW Generators, Switchgear, & transfer switches for cell tower sites, large commercial jobs, and electrical service work. We are looking for a self-motivated electrician with a strong work ethic to join our team here at ESSE.
Primary Job Responsibilities and Skills:
  • Understanding and ability to perform maintenance/installation of electrical components within commercial properties and wireless cell sites which involves cabinet sets, main distribution panels (200 amp to 4000 amps+) disconnects, meter pedestals/cans, transformers, emergency generators, manual transfer switches, automatic transfer switches, etc.
  • Travel is required throughout Georgia and occasionally other Southeastern states.
    • When traveling, the company provides hotel, vehicle and meals.
  • Be able to manage job or possible multiple jobs from start to completion.
  • Ability to find and evaluate possible crew members.
  • Work on and understand single phase and three phase. (120/240, 120/240 Delta, 120/208 Y, 277/480)
  • Read and accurately interpret construction electrical drawings.
  • Assist/perform civil work including grounding, trenching, and conduit installation, prior excavating equipment operating a plus.
  • Operate test equipment such as voltmeters, meg tester, amp meters, and high potential test equipment.
  • Understanding and compliance with company and government operating plans and procedures.
  • National Electric Code (NEC), OSHA, DOT, etc.
  • Organize materials and tools to maintain clean and neat work areas.
  • Adhere to and promote the environmental, health & safety policies.
  • Be able to manage & work alongside the people assigned to your team.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications Required:
  • Candidate must have a minimum 5+ years of electrical experience.
  • Must have a clean driver's license and be insurable. CDL is not mandatory, but is preferred.
  • Drug-Free Workplace: Must be able to pass a drug test upon hiring and any time during employment (random drug testing with a zero-tolerance policy).
  • Strong work ethic required: initiative, tenacity & enjoys a challenge.
  • Journeyman electricians license or the experience, knowledge, and ability to perform Journeyman electrician tasks.
  • Knowledge of NEC, electricity, voltage and current relationships for both AC and DC circuits
  • Have working experience of all electrical systems: single phase, three phase, control circuits, and all aspects of electrical distribution.
  • Must be able to lift 50+ lbs.
  • Must have basic to average proficiency with Microsoft Office products to include Outlook, and Internet-based programs.
