Shift: Day - Monday - Friday - 6:00 am - 2:30 pm (with weekend availability)
Location: Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland
Position Purpose:
The Journeyperson install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems.
As a "Journeyperson" you will:
  • Install, test, repair, and maintain electrical systems, equipment, and appliances according to standard practice of the trade, and safety regulations set up by State and local governments.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electronic equipment used in areas of Plant Operations

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Commercial Journeyman License (Current)
  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Technical school certification with courses in electricity, electronics, motor control and operation, control wiring, electronic circuitry, basic computer skills, mathematics or a minimum of four (4) years experience working as an electrician apprentice, journeyman, electrician or electronics technician.
  • Ability to read, write, speak and comprehend English.
  • Has a good knowledge of codes and standards, required to perform work
  • Must be able to understand and manipulate systems computers.
  • Must be capable of reading, understanding, and interpreting blueprints.
  • Weekend work and shift rotation is required.

Pay Range: $28.00 - $43.40
Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location.
