Our electrical engineering team is recognized for its expertisein energy and complex electrical infrastructure and plays a key role indeveloping, refurbishing and optimizing hydroelectric power plants acrossCanada. Driven by the energy transition and the need to modernize existingassets, our projects cover the entire life cycle of these facilities, frompreliminary studies to commissioning.

To support the growth of our hydropower work, we'relooking for an electrical engineer specialized in electrical apparatus. You'llbe supported by experienced multidisciplinary teams and take part in majorprojects that draw on your technical skills and your understanding ofhigh-power environments.

With us, you'll get the opportunity to...

  • Design electrical power systems for hydroelectric power plants, including medium- and low-voltage switchgear
  • Participate in preliminary and feasibility studies as well as detailed engineering
  • Develop layout and installation engineering for electrical apparatus, including:
    • Medium-voltage cabinets
    • Medium- and low-voltage bus ducts
    • Auxiliary service transformers
    • Low-voltage electrical power centres
  • Prepare and review engineering deliverables, such as general arrangement drawings, elevations, construction details, single-line diagrams, material lists and cable schedules
  • Perform or verify the electrical calculations required to size and select electrical apparatus and power cables
  • Help select equipment, review vendor technical data and estimate quantities
  • Draft technical specifications for installation work
  • Coordinate your work with the other disciplines involved, including structural, civil, heavy and auxiliary mechanical, control and protection, building and architecture
  • Conduct site surveys and visits, help with technical support activities on site and during commissioning phases and participate in factory and site acceptance tests, when required
  • Supervise the work of CEPs and technologists on the team
