Description
General MRO Aerospace (GMA) is a globally recognized FAA 145 Repair Station that specializes in maintenance and repairs of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, fuel and electromechanical aircraft components. We are looking for an experienced, motivated team player and result-driven Electrical Technician. If you have what it takes to perform this job, then we want you in our team!
Essential Duties:
  • Performs maintenance including cleaning of working areas.
  • Conduct tests and periodic inspections.
  • Follows operating rules (SOP's Standard Operating Procedures), policies and regulations.
  • Monitors the tram and follows up with inspections and alarm indicators (i.e. listen for abnormal noises etc.)
  • In the event of breakdowns: diagnose the problem, fix and repair as needed.

Requirements
Experience, Skills and Qualification:
Experience:
  • Ability to read prints, troubleshoot, diagnose and repair electric and mechanical machinery.
  • Ability to work well under pressure, multi-task and meet deadlines, manage a large volume of communication and be a team player.
  • Strong analytical and decision making skills with ability to exercise informed risk taking in order to make judgment calls.

Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and writing communication skills in English. Spanish is a plus.
  • Computer literate. and proficient with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Word and Excel)
  • Ability to prioritize and to work without close supervision.

Qualification:
  • Previous technical experience as electrical technician.
  • Problem-solving and decision-making abilities for moderately complex issues.
