Job description

Davidson Nissan has immediate openings for an Experienced Automotive Technician to join our busy service department! We’re looking for an experienced technician who can diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues. Whether you have a background in import vehicles or are looking to make the switch, we'd love to talk to you!

Pay Range: $23 - $35, Flat Rate

Hours: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday - Friday

Responsibilities:

  • Inspect, diagnose, and repair a wide variety of automotive systems, including: suspension, steering, alignment, coolant systems, engine, electrical, and/or transmission.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues using advanced diagnostic tools.
  • Perform standard vehicle maintenance and repairs to manufacturer standards.
  • Continuously learns new technical information and techniques in formal training sessions in order to stay up to date with rapidly changing automotive technology.
  • Keep advisor aware of mechanical repair problems as they occur.
  • Other duties may be assigned as needed.

Required Skills:

  • Valid New York State Inspectors License or ability to immediately acquire.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, transmission diagnostics, and/or engine performance.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently with appropriate time management.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and have a valid Driver's License.

Preferred Skills:

  • Previous import experience.
  • ASE Certifications.
