Landing Gear Technologies is an FAA Certified Repair Station specializing in the repair and overhaul of aircraft landing gears and components. Electrical Technicians report to the Lead Maintenance Technician and are responsible for assuring all assigned tasks are executed correctly and in accordance with FAR and current manufacturers' instructions. Electrical Technicians are responsible for ascertaining the shop equipment and tools used during the assigned tasks are in serviceable working condition. They are to ensure the technical data is correct and current pertaining to the task being performed and that required work records are properly executed.

Requirements

Electrical Technician Duties and Responsibilities


Work with various types of wire bundles and fittings

Configure wire bundles and various types of electrical connectors using OEM/customer specific wiring diagrams.

Troubleshoot wiring/electrical issues with new or existing configurations.

Fill out required information on work travelers.

Use electrical testing tools for continuity, leakage, and various other procedures.

Maintain a clean and orderly workspace.

Perform additional duties and responsibilities that may be assigned by the supervisor.


Electrical Technician Skills Required

Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate in English. 

Good written and oral communications skills.

Electrically and mechanically inclined.

Experience operating equipment and performing maintenance/machining operations per technical drawings and Manufacturer's Repair/Overhaul instructions. 

Prior experience in working in an FAA / EASA Certificated Repair Station Operation.


Physical Requirements:

Excellent manual dexterity and fine motor skills.

Frequent use of the arms, hands, and fingers is required to perform functions such as reaching, grabbing, pinching, picking, holding, and turning.

Frequent use of hand and power tools weighing up to 15 lbs.

The employee is interchangeably required to sit, stand, and walk during their shift.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Must be able to stand for long periods of time.

Ability to wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in designated areas (safety glasses, gloves, safety shoes, and hearing protection) with or without reasonable accommodation.
