Job Title
Systems Integration Engineer - Vehicle Electrical Systems
Overview
We are seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to design, implement, and validate vehicle electrical systems. This role involves developing electrical system schematics, supporting system integration, performing system-level testing, troubleshooting electrical issues, and supporting prototype and pre-production vehicle builds.
Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop vehicle-level electrical system schematics.
  • Review and support electrical device documentation and approvals.
  • Develop logical electrical system schematics.
  • Define electrical system fusing and grounding strategies.
  • Conduct design and compatibility reviews.
  • Support system-level validation, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
  • Perform system-level testing for ECU integration.
  • Flash ECU software and calibration files.
  • Configure ECUs and analyze self-test results.
  • Perform functional testing and validation.
  • Develop system FMEA and validation plans.
  • Support prototype electrical breadboard activities, including parts list development and validation.
  • Support prototype vehicle builds, including software flashing, configuration, functional validation, and troubleshooting.
  • Verify module and wiring interface compatibility.
  • Support pre-production and launch build activities.
  • Perform root cause analysis for system-level issues.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's degree preferred).
  • Experience in electrical engineering and systems engineering.
  • Experience designing, testing, and troubleshooting integrated electrical and electronic systems.
  • Ability to interpret electrical wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Strong root cause analysis and structured problem-solving skills.
  • Experience developing electrical system schematics.
  • Experience supporting electrical system validation and testing.
  • Experience with ECU software flashing and diagnostics.
  • Experience supporting prototype vehicle builds.
  • Experience with CAN network diagnostics.
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment with increased onsite support during prototype and launch activities, including occasional weekend support as required.
