Overview

The Project Superintendent is responsible for the efficient scheduling, management, and coordination of all sub contractors, construction trades, labor crews to work in unity in order to ensure quality and construction progress according to the project Master Schedule.   The Project Superintendent will have proven construction experience as an Electrical Superintendent, a history of leading, teaching, and mentoring others successfully, and the ability to thoroughly understand and follow plans, project specifications, design documents, code requirements and other similar construction activities.

Location & Travel Details

You’ll get the opportunity to travel across the US, helping our team build infrastructure projects. This is a traveling position, requiring travel up to 100% of the time. You may support projects located in various states throughout the US. Potential project locations may include, but are not limited to, PA, KS, NC, SC, VA, GA, TX, FL, IA, WY, and additional locations are added frequently as our organization continues to grow.

Responsibilities
  • Permit document administration and control
  • Complete review and understanding of subcontractor’s scope of work
  • Coordinate safety meetings and overall responsibility for project safety
  • Control project access and traffic
  • Tool/equipment inventory, coordination and rental
  • Coordinate, schedule and maintain records of all project testing and certificates including concrete and soil testing
  • Coordinate with PM, PCM and PFE daily regarding project progress, S/C performance, QA/QC and reporting
  • Complete “3week look ahead schedule” and update master schedule with PCM
  • Complete Daily Log Reports (Procore)
  • Maintain “As Built” drawings for final submittal
  • Coordinate and schedule project inspections
  • Final inspection and proper closeout documentation
  • Quality control of installed materials and Equipment
  • Site layout and control of benchmarks

Qualifications

Work Experience and Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field
  • minimum 3 years’ work experience as a construction Superintendent - In lieu of a degree, 10+ years of work experience.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience overseeing electrical scope of work on new build ground-up construction projects is required.
  • Prior experience with data center projects is preferred.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Must have project scheduling, planning, organization, and document control
  • Superior communication and organization skills, especially when managing subcontractors and inspectors
  • OSHA Certification – In-depth knowledge of OSHA safety standards and procedures
  • Experience with the following software: Microsoft Office Suite, Scheduling Programs, and Document
