This role will serve as a key contributor in developing software features, interfaces, and control functions that support RF sensing, radar, tracking, regulatory compliance, autonomous operations, and other emerging applications.

The ideal candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals with a deep understanding of system integration, networking, and hardware control interfaces. Working closely with systems engineers, RF engineers, product teams, customers, and external partners, this individual will develop and maintain software that allows Kymeta antennas to integrate seamlessly into a wide range of operational environments.

This position supports the development and sustainment of advanced capabilities including antenna tracking and control functions, ephemeris-based tracking, radar applications, regulatory and compliance systems, and third-party integrations. The successful candidate will be comfortable working across the full software lifecycle, from concept development and rapid prototyping to field support and long-term sustainment.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead development, enhancement, and sustainment of software supporting advanced applications of Kymeta antenna systems

  • Design and implement new antenna control capabilities supporting applications beyond traditional SATCOM, including tracking, sensing, radar, regulatory/compliance, and other mission-specific functions

  • Lead multidisciplinary engineering efforts across RF, antenna, software, FPGA, embedded systems, and networking to deliver integrated operational capabilities

  • Develop and maintain APIs, network services, socket interfaces, and software integration frameworks that enable third-party systems to communicate with Kymeta antennas

  • Collaborate with systems engineers, RF engineers, and customer relationship owners to translate customer requirements into software features and operational capabilities

  • Support development, enhancement, and sustainment of antenna software platforms and advanced application extensions

  • Support customer integration efforts by assisting partners with API implementations, software interoperability, and system-level troubleshooting

  • Participate in laboratory testing, field demonstrations, and operational deployments to validate software functionality and performance

  • Analyze software, network, and system performance to diagnose issues and improve reliability, usability, and operational effectiveness

  • Develop technical documentation including interface definitions, software design documentation, user guides, and integration guides
