Job description

Electrical QA/QC Data Center Inspector
$40โ€“$50/hr DOE + Per Diem | Nationwide Travel (~95%) | Base: GA | Direct Hire

We are seeking an experienced Electrical QA/QC Data Center Inspector to support mission-critical construction projects across the U.S. This role is responsible for ensuring electrical installations meet strict quality, safety, and compliance standards in high-performance data center environments.


Key Responsibilities

Perform QA/QC inspections on electrical systems including:

  • Medium- and low-voltage switchgear
  • UPS systems, PDUs, generators, and transformers
  • Cable tray, conduit, and grounding systems

Verify compliance with:

  • Project drawings and specifications
  • NEC and applicable electrical codes
  • Client commissioning standards

Additional responsibilities:

  • Review and track submittals, RFIs, and as-built documentation
  • Witness and document electrical testing, including:
    • Megger (insulation resistance) testing
    • Torque verification
    • Pre-functional and functional testing
  • Identify deficiencies and ensure timely corrective actions
  • Maintain detailed QA/QC reports, logs, and inspection records
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and commissioning teams

Qualifications
  • 3+ years of experience in electrical QA/QC or field inspection
  • Strong preference for data center / mission-critical experience (required)
  • Solid understanding of electrical distribution systems and NEC
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
  • Strong documentation and communication skills

Preferred Certifications
  • NICET (Electrical)
  • OSHA 10 or OSHA 30
  • NFPA 70E
