Job description

Job Title: Senior BIM Modeler (Electrical)
Location: Raleigh, NC (On-site)
Compensation: Top-of-Market Salary + Performance Bonuses
Benefits: Comprehensive Health, 401(k) Match, Paid Time Off, & Professional Development

About the Role

We are a premier, large-scale electrical contractor leading major commercial and industrial projects across North Carolina. We are seeking a high-caliber Senior BIM Modeler to join our Raleigh-based VDC team. This is a leadership-level production role where you will transform complex electrical designs into precise, constructible 3D models.

If you are a Revit power-user who understands the "nuts and bolts" of electrical construction and thrives on solving coordination challenges before they hit the field, we want to talk to you.

What You’ll Do

  • Model Mastery: Create highly detailed 3D electrical models (conduit, cable tray, equipment, and lighting) using Revit and Navisworks.
  • VDC Leadership: Lead the BIM coordination process for multi-million dollar projects, representing the electrical trade in clash detection meetings.
  • Constructability: Review drawings for design errors and work closely with Field Foremen to ensure models reflect actual installation requirements.
  • Total Station Integration: Prepare files for robotic total station field layout (Trimble/Topcon).
  • Innovation: Help refine company BIM standards and workflows to improve pre-fabrication accuracy.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience: 5+ years of BIM/VDC experience specifically within the Electrical Construction industry.
  • Technical Skills: Expert-level proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks Manage, and AutoCAD. Experience with Bluebeam and BIM 360/Construction Cloud is essential.
  • Knowledge: Deep understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and how to model for pre-fabrication.
  • Communication: Ability to clearly explain technical coordination issues to project managers, GC's, and field crews.

Why Join Us?

  • Top Pay: We offer the most competitive salaries in the Triangle for elite talent.
  • Elite Projects: Work on high-profile data centers, healthcare facilities, and industrial builds.
  • Advanced Tech: We invest in the latest hardware and software to ensure you have the tools to succeed.
  • Stability: We have a massive backlog of local work, offering long-term career security without the constant travel.
