Job description

HVAC Installer
Purpose: As an HVAC installer, you will play a crucial role in the success of our projects. You will lead jobs, crews, and projects alongside other HVAC installers and superintendents - primarily new residential and multi-family construction.
Responsibilities:
  • Install, modify, inspect, repair, and maintain HVAC equipment according to specification and building codes
  • Identify hazards and safety problems applicable to the installation and operations of HVAC projects
  • Take necessary corrective action to fix these problems
  • Make decisions on the job site without interruption to the business or work and job quality
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Build and maintain project schedules and meet deadlines
  • Read blueprints
  • Complete quality control sheets

Qualifications:
  • Leadership skills and the ability to empower individuals on your team
  • Ability to produce quality work
  • Excellent communication skills to be used when working with builders, general contractors, and project managers
  • Knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures including ventilation, air conditioning, heating, and environmental control systems.
  • Ability to follow directions
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver's license
  • Strong work ethic that you display daily
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Ability to work 6 AM to 5 PM Monday through Friday and an occasional Saturday
  • Relevant HVAC experience is a plus

Core Physical Requirements
  • Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry heavy objects, typically up to 50-75 lbs independently
  • Mobility and Agility: Capacity to perform physically demanding tasks such as climbing ladders, crawling into tight spaces (like crawlspaces or attics), and kneeling or crouching for extended periods
  • Manual Dexterity: Strong hand-eye coordination and the ability to handle small tools and components with precision
  • Stamina: Ability to stand and walk for the duration of an 8-12 hour shift, often in varying weather conditions or non-climate-controlled environments
