Overview:   
Our client, a leading employee-owned engineering firm specializing in electrical power distribution, industrial control systems, and advanced technology solutions, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to design and support complex industrial and commercial electrical systems. This role involves power system analysis, construction support, commissioning activities, and mentoring junior engineers. The ideal candidate will have 5–10 years of industrial electrical engineering experience, expertise in power system studies, and a PE license or the ability to obtain one. Experience with construction documentation, project coordination, and power system modeling software is highly preferred. This full-time position is located in Bellevue, WA.
Pay range: $110,000 - $120,000

Responsibilities: 
  • Design medium- and low-voltage power distribution systems for industrial and commercial facilities.
  • Design emergency and standby power systems.
  • Develop interior and exterior lighting system designs.
  • Design networking, security, and auxiliary electrical systems.
  • Perform power system modeling and analysis, including load flow studies, short-circuit analysis, protective device coordination, and arc flash calculations.
  • Prepare detailed construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Provide construction support by reviewing equipment submittals and responding to RFIs.
  • Conduct field verification activities and coordinate with project stakeholders during construction.
  • Support commissioning activities and facilitate project closeout documentation.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers, providing technical guidance and support throughout project execution.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Travel to project sites for research, coordination, commissioning, and construction support as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE).
  • 5–10 years of electrical engineering experience in the industrial sector.
  • Experience designing industrial and commercial electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, and control systems.
  • Experience performing power system studies, including load flow, short-circuit, protective device coordination, and arc flash analysis.
  • Proven ability to prepare detailed construction drawings, technical specifications, and cost estimates.
  • Experience supporting construction, commissioning, and project closeout activities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam Revu, and PDF management tools.
  • Experience using project and document management platforms such as SharePoint, Smartsheet, Newforma, and Procore.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to travel to client sites as required.
  • Ability to pass background checks and client-required drug screenings.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license (Washington State preferred; other state licenses accepted).
  • Experience with power system engineering software such as SKM PowerTools, EasyPower, ETAP, and SEL acSELerator.
  • U.S. citizenship required.
