This role offers the opportunity to work alongside industry experts, solve complex power system challenges, influence next-generation technologies, and make a meaningful impact on the resilience of critical infrastructure.**Primary Responsibilities*** Further develop and maintain a detailed understanding of electric power systems and how to protect, monitor, and control the power system.* Conduct research and development related to wildfire mitigation using advanced power system protection technologies.* Develop expertise in High Impedance Fault (HIF) detection and analysis.* Assist in developing product specifications, application literature, instruction manuals, and data sheets.* Provide power engineering support for customer applications and Field Application Engineers.* Assist in writing and reviewing innovative power system protection solutions to present at technical meetings and conferences.* Demonstrate the ability to quickly learn and apply new technologies, concepts, and methodologies.**Required Qualifications*** B.S. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.* 2+ years' experience in electric power systems, protection practices, and philosophies.* Excellent technical training skills.* Working knowledge of apparatus and protective relay application at an electrical utility or industrial plant.* Understanding of signal processing and digital systems fundamentals.* Strong analytical, writing, documentation, and speaking skills and ability to learn new skills and assume new responsibilities.* Ability to code in python.
