Job description

This position is expected to work 20 hours/week, running 9/14 through 12/11

The Engineering Intern assists the Engineering team with production projects and continuous improvement initiatives. The position provides hands-on Engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.  

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Helps develop, improve and revise manufacturing processes
  • Helps design and implement tooling and fixtures for effective manufacturing
  • Helps analyze failures and troubleshoots to improve test yields
  • Supports purchasing, quality, test, and production departments to ensure product integrity is maintained
  • Supports cost justification studies and ROI for capital equipment
  • Creating and updating work instructions
  • Supports SOW development for equipment implementation and validation

Job Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in college or university Engineering Program.
    • Junior or Senior level, preferred. Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical Engineering discipline, preferred.
  • Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office.
  • Working knowledge of AutoCAD or SolidWorks, preferred.
