Job Description
As an Electrical Engineer, you'll be responsible for supporting manufacturing operations through reliable electrical systems, machine controls, and continuous improvement initiatives. This role partners closely with Maintenance, Operations, and Project Engineering to troubleshoot equipment issues, execute upgrades, and enhance safety, reliability, and performance across production assets.
What You Will Do
  • Serve as an electrical engineering resource supporting Maintenance Technicians in diagnosing and resolving complex machine control and electrical issues.
  • Lead and support machine and equipment upgrade projects, including investigations, scope development, cost estimating, installation, start-up, and commissioning for both capital and expense projects.
  • Develop a working knowledge of new and existing capital equipment, including control architecture, hardware, and operating principles, to support maintenance and continuous improvement efforts.
  • Assist Project Engineering with equipment installation, checkout, start-up, and operator or maintenance training as required.
  • Promote and support electrical safety initiatives by applying industry standards and regulations, including National and State Electrical Codes and NFPA 70E (arc flash).
  • Serve as a key contributor to preventative maintenance activities for electrical substations and high-voltage switchgear, including inspections, testing, documentation, and follow-up actions.
  • Participate on cross-functional teams-including equipment project teams, safety teams, and continuous improvement teams-to drive improvements in safety, quality, service, and cost.

  • Training: Electrical Code training and/or general safety training (formal coursework or seminars preferred)
