Job description

Automated Maintenance Technician โ€“ Multiple Levels

Location: Rochester, NY.

Schedule: (4) 12โ€‘hour rotating shifts; (2) 12โ€‘hour days (6amโ€‘6pm); (2) 12โ€‘hour nights (6pmโ€‘6am). Four days off plus crossover time. 8% shift differential on every hour worked.

Level2: Maintenance TechnicianII Responsibilities
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Assist in troubleshooting and repairing equipment, seeking advice from senior team members when necessary.
  • Conduct preventative maintenance as scheduled.
  • Document maintenance activities and report issues.
  • Participate in simple rootโ€‘cause analysis under supervision.
  • Interpret, follow, and contribute to updates in SOPs, work instructions, and job plans.
Level2: Skill Requirements
  • Intermediate mechanical and technical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret basic schematics and manuals.

Work Environment / Physical Demands

The work environment is representative of a manufacturing and laboratory setting. Responsibilities include handling viral and bacterial hazards, potentially hazardous chemicals, and infectious or potentially infectious bodily fluids, tissues, and samples. The role requires up to 50% time in meetings, 50% time at a desk on a computer, walking, standing, or sitting for extended periods of time. Specific vision abilities required include close and distance vision and the ability to adjust focus. Personal protective equipment is required. Flexible work hours may be required to meet project deadlines.

Salary Transparency

Salary range: $45,000.00 to $93,000.00, bonus eligible. Compensation decisions are based on education, experience, skills, geography, and other factors.
