Legacy Talent Search is currently seeking candidates for an Electrical Industrial Maintenance Technician role in Biddeford, ME. Our client is a well-established industry leader known for innovation and a commitment to delivering the highest quality products. With a focus on continuous improvement, they pride themselves on maintaining excellence at every stage of their manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities:
· Perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial electrical systems, machinery, and production equipment.
· Diagnose electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues to minimize equipment downtime.
· Install, maintain, and repair motors, motor controls, VFDs, PLCs, sensors, and other industrial electrical components.
· Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
· Perform equipment inspections and identify opportunities for preventative maintenance and process improvements.
· Assist with equipment installations, upgrades, and commissioning of new production machinery.
· Ensure all maintenance activities are completed in accordance with OSHA regulations, NFPA standards, and company safety procedures.
· Accurately document maintenance activities, repairs, and parts usage using maintenance management systems.
· Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability and manufacturing efficiency.
· Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns to restore production with minimal downtime.
Qualifications:
· High school diploma or equivalent; technical school or electrical apprenticeship preferred.
· 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
· Strong knowledge of industrial electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, motor controls, VFDs, and automation equipment.
· Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
· Experience troubleshooting mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems is highly preferred.
· Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
