Job Description

Palletizer Material Handler- Novolex- Woodridge, IL 

Compensation:

  • Pay Range is $21.21-$22.05 

Shift: Mutiple Shift Openings (Days and Nights) The site works a 2,2,3 rotating 12 hour shift. 

Palletizer Material Handler:

Position Summary

The Palletizer Material Handler plays a key role in the container printing operation. Palletizer Material Handlers move pallets of materials throughout the Print operation, unload boxes of raw materials, load finished goods onto the pallets (palletizing) and coordinate material changes with the operators and team leads. The equipment used for this position includes pallet jacks, stationary clamp-style pallet lifts and stretch wrappers. In addition to palletizing and material handling tasks, other duties may be assigned to support the manufacturing operation. Candidates must always adhere to our safety and quality requirements. OJT Training will be provided and tracked. Skills development and advancement opportunities will be provided and is encouraged.

Key Responsibilities

Safety

  • Follow all company safety policies, GMP requirements, and PPE standards.
  • Complete all required safety training and participate in all monthly meetings.
  • Report safety concerns and incidents immediately. Be proactive.
  • Follow safe lifting procedures, forklift safety/awareness rules, report all incidents and near misses immediately to the supervisor.
  • Proactively engage coworkers and respond to feedback regarding safety concerns.
  • Maintain clear access to emergency equipment, exits, and electrical panels.

Quality & Inventory

  • Verify the products and labels are correct using pre-printed SAP documentation.
  • Count materials and write quantity on labels to maintain inventory accuracy.
  • Verify correct pallet build structure using PDF specification sheets.
  • Equipment Operation and Production Support
  • Operate pallet jacks, stretch wrappers, stationary pallet lift, cardboard baler, cup grinder.
  • Move materials throughout the processes manually and with pallet jacks.
  • With the team and as directed, perform basic preventive maintenance and cleaning on equipment.
  • Load, straighten, store, and inspect pallets; remove damaged pallets from service.
  • Provide break relief to coworkers.
  • Must learn other roles in the department such as packing, grinding, bailing cardboard and other tasks.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Fast-paced manufacturing experience.
  • Experience working in a similar environment is preferred but not required.
  • Experience working 12-hour shifts is preferred but not required.
  • Basic communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move materials as required.
  • Respectful demeanor, positive attitude.
  • Successful Candidates will:
