Job Summary:

The Project Manager is expected to develop and maintain a client base, manage HVAC/plumbing/electrical sales, and coordinate the field labor needs for each project in conjunction with field leadership. The Project Manager will use judgement and discretion in representing the company. They are expected to show a high level of commitment and involvement with their work and the company's business.ย 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the single point of responsibility and main contact for both the business and the customer throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Perform all project management functions to promote and finalize sales, including concept engineering, estimating, creating written proposals, and leading meetings.
  • Successfully manage all aspects of contracts, including sales, estimating, procurement, and execution as well as coordinate field labor and installation sequencing between the customer and field leadership.
  • Manage financial aspects of the job by forecasting, preparing budget projections, controlling costs, billing, and monitoring job costs.
  • Generate essential documentation for good business procedures and legal protection, including letters, proposals, memos, contracts, and change orders.
  • Build and maintain cordial relationships with external clients, vendors, subcontractors, and industry partners.
  • Provide internal leadership and project coordination across all departments, including Engineering, Purchasing, Accounting, Construction, and Service.
  • Provide leadership and coordinate assigned staff across all internal departments throughout the project lifecycle to successfully deliver the contracted scope and meet customer requirements.
  • Lead effective communication by consulting with management, attending sales and construction meetings, and coordinating pre-construction kickoff meetings.
  • Act as a mentor by recruiting, training, and coaching staff, while contributing to special studies, committees, and other duties directed by management.

Education and Experience: ย 

Required: ย 

  • BS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in estimating, design, and/or management of HVAC projects from $50,000 to $25+ million ย

Travel required 5-30% of the time to other office locations and job sites.

Hours:

This is an exempt position. Workdays are scheduled from Monday through Friday. Typically, work hours begin and end between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm as scheduled with the position's supervisor. Work outside of regular hours may occasionally be necessary to meet business needs.
