About the Role

BLEACHTECH LLC is seeking an experienced Electrical amp; Instrumentation (E amp;I) Technician to support the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of our manufacturing facility. This position is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, calibrating, and improving electrical, instrumentation, controls, and automation systems throughout the plant.

The ideal candidate has hands-on industrial experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and a commitment to safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. This is a hands-on position supporting 24/7 plant operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Install, configure, commission, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair process instrumentation, including flow, level, pressure, temperature, pH/ORP, and analytical transmitters.
  • Calibrate instrumentation according to manufacturer and process specifications.
  • Perform loop checks and verify 4–20 mA, HART, Ethernet, and other control signals from field devices through the control system.
  • Diagnose instrumentation issues including signal noise, drift, grounding problems, and stray current interference.
  • Troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair control valves, positioners, and actuators, including valve stroke testing and tuning.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot PLCs, VFDs, I/O controls, and automation systems.
  • Support integration between field instrumentation and DCS/HMI platforms.
  • Work with PLC programming and ladder logic, including instrumentation I/O configuration and scaling.
  • Read and interpret electrical blueprints, wiring diagrams, P amp;IDs, instrument loop diagrams, and technical manuals.
  • Maintain instrumentation documentation, calibration records, data sheets, and instrumentation indexes.
  • Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities during normal operations and planned plant shutdowns.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records in the CMMS.
  • Install, maintain, modify, and repair electrical distribution systems and associated equipment in accordance with applicable electrical codes and Arc Flash requirements.
  • Inspect and test electrical components including transformers, transfer switches, and switchgear.
  • Perform low- and medium-voltage electrical checks.
  • Assist with high-voltage work under the guidance and close supervision of the Maintenance amp; Reliability Manager or qualified contractors.
  • Coordinate with instrumentation vendors and contractors as needed.
  • Supervise contracted labor when appropriate to ensure company safety and maintenance standards are followed.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
  • Support other maintenance and operational activities as needed.
Qualifications

Required:

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5 years of electrical and/or instrumentation maintenance experience in an industrial or process manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on troubleshooting experience with electrical, instrumentation, controls, or automation systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, P amp;IDs, and instrument documentation.
  • Strong technical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work safely in an industrial manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, weekends, overtime, and emergency call-ins as required to support 24/7 operations.

Preferred:

  • Apprenticeship or trade certification in Electrical Technology, Instrumentation, Industrial Maintenance, or a related field.
  • Experience with PLC programming, ladder logic, VFDs, AC/DC drives, controls, and automation.
  • Experience with process instrumentation and calibration.
  • ISO calibration procedure training.
  • High-voltage safety training/certification.
  • CMMS experience.
  • Experience working in chemical or process manufacturing.
