Electrical & Instrumentation Maintenance Supervisor

Job Summary Direct all phases of plant electrical and instrumentation maintenance to ensure safe, compliant, and cost-effective production. Supervise a unionized maintenance team, prioritize daily work orders, and drive continuous improvement and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
  • People & Union Management: Supervise union wage employees, resolve grievances per labor contracts, and manage performance in partnership with HR.
  • Safety & Compliance: Implement and monitor area safety programs (JSAs, inspections, training, corrective actions) to foster a strong safety culture.
  • Operations & Execution: Coordinate work schedules with operations, manage emergency repairs, and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
  • Reliability & Cost Control: Reduce downtime, control expenses, optimize overtime, and execute preventative/predictive maintenance and failure analyses.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Experience: 5+ years in Electrical Maintenance Supervision (industrial/manufacturing context preferred).
  • Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of electrical/instrumentation process equipment, piping systems, schematics, engineering drawings, and ASME/ANSI codes.
  • Regulatory: Strong understanding of OSHA and local/state plant safety standards.
  • Leadership & Systems: Strong conflict resolution and multi-tasking abilities; proficient in CMMS/ERP software (e.g., SAP) and MS Office.
