The Engineering Electrical & Instrumentation Supervisor is responsible for leading daily electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities supporting a 24/7 manufacturing operation. This role provides frontline leadership for technicians and contractors while ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient plant performance through effective maintenance execution, troubleshooting, workforce development, and continuous improvement. Client Details My client is a leading specialty manufacturing organization focused on operational excellence, safety, and reliability. The company offers a collaborative environment where maintenance and operations teams work together to support critical production processes and plant performance. Description Lead daily electrical and instrumentation maintenance activities across the facility. Supervise E&I technicians, contractors, and maintenance personnel. Coordinate maintenance schedules and work priorities with Operations, Engineering, and Maintenance teams. Manage preventive, predictive, corrective, and emergency maintenance activities. Drive execution of preventive maintenance programs to maximize equipment reliability. Maintain a strong field presence supporting troubleshooting, coaching, and safety initiatives. Support electrical distribution systems, instrumentation, analyzers, motor controls, VFDs, and control valves. Assist with troubleshooting and maintenance of DCS, PLC, and industrial control systems. Coordinate contractor activities and ensure adherence to site safety requirements. Support employee development through training, coaching, and performance management. Assist with workforce planning, staffing, and resource allocation. Support plant shutdowns, equipment repairs, and process improvement projects. Monitor maintenance backlog, work order completion, labor utilization, and performance metrics. Support spare parts planning, inventory management, and maintenance materials coordination. Promote safe work practices including LOTO, confined space, and electrical safety compliance. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability, maintenance effectiveness, and operational performance. Proven ability to prioritize work and coordinate resources in a 24/7 manufacturing environment. Experience with maintenance planning, contractor management, and scheduling. Working knowledge of CMMS/SAP systems and Microsoft Office. Massachusetts Electrical License preferred. Strong understanding of LOTO, confined space, electrical safety, and contractor safety programs. Excellent leadership, communication, and employee development skills.
