Electrical InstructorAPEX Technical School - Midtown Manhattan

Experienced Electricians: Your Skills Are Worth More.

For more than 50 years, APEX Technical School has helped students build the skills they need to pursue careers in the skilled trades through a combination of classroom instruction and hands-on training.

Now, we're looking for experienced electrical professionals who are ready to put their knowledge to work in a different way.

APEX is now offering competitive salaries of $74,000-$119,000, based on experience.

If you've spent years working in the electrical trade, troubleshooting difficult problems, reading schematics, installing systems, and learning the ins and outs of the industry, you already have what we need.

You do not need previous teaching experience. You bring the electrical expertise-we'll help you develop the skills needed to work with students.

Why APEX?

  • $74,000-$119,000 salary based on experience
  • Full-time, Monday-Friday schedule
  • No weekends
  • Medical, Dental & Vision
  • 403(b) retirement plan
  • Paid vacation and holidays
  • Additional shifts may be available
  • Hands-on work in a professional training environment

  • Security and fire alarm system installation
  • Reading blueprints, manuals and electrical schematics
  • Working safely with electrical equipment, tools and systems
  • Troubleshooting and solving electrical problems in the field

At least 3 years of verifiable electrical field experience is required.

Education & Experience Requirements

To become an APEX Electrical Instructor, candidates will need to provide documentation of their highest level of education completed, such as a GED or High School Diploma, as well as documentation verifying at least 3 years of relevant electrical experience with previous employers.

Don't have all of your documentation readily available? That's okay. We can help guide candidates through the process of obtaining or verifying the required documentation. However, bringing any available education and employment documentation to your interview can help expedite the hiring process.

All APEX employees are also required to complete a standard background check as part of the employment process.
