Job description

Purpose

The Commissioning Electrical Superintendent oversees and coordinates all construction and commissioning activities related to the Electrical discipline, facilitating effective communication between stakeholders and ensuring compliance with HSSE, Quality, and schedule requirements.


Responsibilities
  • Ensure that all construction and commissioning activities are carried out according to approved plans, specifications, and project schedule, in compliance with HSSE and Quality regulations.
  • Coordinate and supervise daily operations at the site, including workforce management, material handling, and equipment usage.
  • Lead site inspections, tests, and verifications of electrical systems and equipment.
  • Manage and implement changes to plans or scope that arise during the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate records of activities, including progress reports, HSSE records, and quality control data.
  • Monitor progress against project timelines and take corrective actions to maintain schedule.
  • Implement and enforce HSSE protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with company regulations and standards.
  • Mentor and lead construction and commissioning supervisors and team members to uphold high standards of work.
  • Inspect, test, commission, and monitor systems as part of ongoing compliance.
  • Manage third‑party relations and coordination.
  • Apply construction, commissioning, and quality strategy to electrical projects.
  • Provide leadership on HSSE quality regulatory and process safety matters.
  • Lead design and execution of technical understanding and planning activities.

Education
  • At least a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.

Experience
  • Relevant experience in the construction industry with strong understanding of construction and commissioning processes, practical knowledge of managing and leading teams to ensure smooth operations on site.
