A+ Derr is seeking a licensed Master Electrician to join our growing Louisville team. This position is responsible for leading residential electrical service, repair, installation, troubleshooting, and generator-related work while ensuring code compliance, technical excellence, and an outstanding customer experience. The ideal candidate is safety-focused, self-motivated, and capable of mentoring team members, managing complex electrical projects, and identifying customer needs while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair residential electrical systems.
  • Install, replace, and upgrade electrical panels, breakers, circuits, outlets, switches, lighting, and wiring.
  • Perform whole-home electrical inspections and safety evaluations.
  • Install and service standby generators and transfer switches.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues and provide customers with repair and replacement options.
  • Ensure all work complies with local, state, and national electrical codes.
  • Serve as the licensed Master Electrician for applicable projects and permit requirements.
  • Supervise, mentor, and support Journeyman Electricians, Apprentices, and Electrical Helpers.
  • Review electrical work for quality, safety, and code compliance.
  • Assist with training and development of electrical team members.
  • Complete accurate documentation, estimates, and invoices through company software.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and professional work environment.
  • Participate in on-call rotation as assigned.
  • Build strong customer relationships through exceptional service and communication.
  • Identify opportunities to improve customer safety, comfort, and efficiency.
Qualifications
Required
  • Kentucky Master Electrician License
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
  • Minimum 5 years of residential electrical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
  • Ability to read electrical diagrams and blueprints
  • Experience supervising or mentoring electrical team members
  • Ability to lift up to 75 pounds and work in attics, crawl spaces, and on ladders
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills
Preferred
  • Generator installation and service experience
  • ServiceTitan experience
  • Sales and customer education experience
  • HVAC or plumbing industry experience
  • Experience managing permits, inspections, and code compliance requirements
