We are looking to hire a diligent Maintenance Technician / Vacation Rental Property Inspector in our Sea Ranch, CA location.


In this role, you will maintain and repair property systems and equipment, ensuring the highest standards of functionality and reliability. Your responsibilities will include preventive maintenance, quality control, equipment installation, responding to repair requests, collaborating with our vendor maintenance teams, and doing pre-arrival home inspections. You'll work in various settings, handling minor repairs and preventative maintenance across plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and drywall systems--requiring moderate technical skills and physical ability.

  • Ensure homes are guest-ready before arrival by identifying and resolving maintenance issues during inspections.
  • Handle minor repairs, maintenance, and installation of equipment and appliances.
  • Implement and manage a preventive maintenance program.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy work environment by adhering to standards and legal regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and engage in problem-solving to improve guest experiences.
  • Utilize various tools and equipment, including power and plumbing tools.
  • Troubleshoot common household systems and equipment.
  • Collaborate effectively with team members and respond promptly to maintenance requests.

NOTE: This position performs routine maintenance and minor repairs. Licensed vendors are used for major repairs and specialized work.



Requirements:
  • At least 1 year of maintenance, handyman, hospitality, or property care experience
  • Must have a valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, and reliable vehicle to travel between properties
  • Travel between properties to address maintenance issues and conduct pre-arrival inspections
  • Using mobile apps to document repairs and inspections
  • Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and climbing ladders
  • Coordinating with vendors for larger repairs
  • Ensuring homes meet guest-ready standards before arrival
  • Ability to work weekends, holidays, and occasional after-hours maintenance requests
  • Strong problem-solving, multitasking, and inventory management skills
