Job description

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
• Follow directions of electrician and assist with installation and repair of wiring and electrical apparatus.
• Adhere to strict production schedules and work hour requirements for completion of job assignment.
• Assist with material management, including proper handling and storage of materials and cleanliness of jobsite.
• Understand company policies and obey safety regulations.
• Responsible for securing and maintaining basic tools and performing all tasks to current standards.
• Maintain tools and equipment, including:
o Performing routine tool maintenance.
o Inspecting tools for damage.
o Tagging and reporting damaged tools for repair.
o Cleaning tools and equipment.
o Lubricating tools and equipment.
o Storing tools to prevent damage or theft.
• Initiate or suggest ideas to achieve working goals.
• Participate in, adhere to, and sign all pre-task plans and job hazard analysis forms, before starting work.
• Follow all client, company, and OSHA safety rules and regulations.
• Operate a variety of hand and power tools, as well as shop machinery, in conjunction with proper training.
• Operate company vehicles, forklifts, and mobile elevated work platforms (MEWPs) in a safe manner in conjunction with
proper certifcation.
• Perform semi-skilled or laborer duties related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of a wide variety of electrical
systems and equipment.
• Work from ladders, scaffold, and roofs to install and maintain or repair electrical wiring equipment as well as fxtures.
• Inform project managers and safety representatives of all safety violations as well as minor/major injuries immediately.
• Other duties, as assigned.
• Employee may be required to work extended hours (more than 8 hours per day), weekends, and holidays. Employee will
be compensated based on guidelines in the Fair Labor Standards Act.
QUALIFICATIONS
• High School diploma or equivalent is desired.
• Favorable driver's record/valid license preferred.
• Ability to maintain constructive relationships with those contacted during work activities
• Skilled in reading, writing and math.
• Methods and techniques of storing equipment, materials, and supplies.
• Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Must successfully complete background check and drug/alcohol testing.
