Commercial Electrical Foreman

Location: Columbia, SC

Spratlin Electric Contracting is seeking an experienced and motivated Commercial Electrical Foreman to lead field operations on commercial projects throughout the Columbia, SC area. Position Overview

As a Commercial Electrical Foreman, you will oversee day-to-day jobsite operations, lead crews, and ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with code requirements. You’ll serve as the critical link between the field team and project management—keeping jobs on track, on budget, and up to our standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, supervise, and mentor electricians and apprentices on active job sites
  • Coordinate daily field operations across commercial projects
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical drawings
  • Oversee installations including:
    • Conduit bending
    • Panel and switchgear installation
    • Transformers
    • Lighting systems
    • Power distribution systems
  • Ensure strict adherence to OSHA standards and company safety protocols
  • Collaborate with project managers, general contractors, and inspectors to maintain schedules
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical issues in the field with effective solutions
  • Maintain quality control and ensure all work meets NEC and project specifications

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in commercial electrical construction
  • 2+ years in a foreman, lead, or supervisory role
  • Strong understanding of the National Electrical Code (NEC)
  • Proven experience with:
    • Electrical systems installation
    • Wiring and lighting systems
    • Panels and power distribution equipment
  • Demonstrated leadership ability with a track record of guiding crews to meet deadlines
