Job description

Principal Electrical Designer (BAT00GI)

Company: Worley

Purpose

You will demonstrate a strong understanding and practical application of electrical technical principles, theories, and concepts for onshore industrial facilities.

Responsibilities
  • Develop designs for lighting, power distribution, cable tray, grounding systems, and electrical building arrangements.
  • Apply applicable electrical codes, industry standards, and client specifications to onshore facility design.
  • Maintain general knowledge of related engineering disciplines and coordinate effectively across discipline interfaces.
  • Design and modify facility components, electrical rooms, buildings, equipment layouts, and associated electrical systems to develop new designs or improve existing designs.
  • Provide solutions to a wide range of complex technical problems under general direction while proactively taking ownership of assigned work and outcomes.
  • Identify required deliverables and support planning, scheduling, and status reporting for those deliverables.
  • Communicate effectively with all levels of internal management and work professionally with client representatives.
Technical and Industry Experience
  • Minimum of 8 years of electrical design experience.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proficient with electronic PDF markup tools, such as Bluebeam and/or PDF-XChange Pro.
Required
  • Technical Diploma required.
Preferred
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and MicroStation.
