Job Overview

Patriot Contracting LLC is hiring an Electrical Foreman to lead commercial electrical crews and manage active job sites across Northern Virginia. In this role, you will own your job site day to day, supervise journeymen and apprentices, and ensure work is completed safely, to code, and on schedule without requiring heavy oversight. Projects typically range from $20,000 to $1,000,000, primarily focusing on commercial tenant fit-outs, renovations, and light ground-up construction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and direct a crew of electricians and apprentices on active commercial job sites.
  • Read and work from blueprints, panel schedules, and specifications to plan rough-in, trim, and finish work.
  • Coordinate daily with project managers and estimators regarding manpower, material deliveries, and schedule requirements.
  • Enforce NEC code compliance and jobsite safety standards, including running toolbox talks and safety checks.
  • Manage on-site quality control and conduct walkthroughs with inspectors and general contractors.
  • Track daily labor hours and job progress, flagging scope changes and potential change orders to the office.
  • Train, guide, and mentor journeymen and apprentices on the crew.
  • Coordinate tool, material, and equipment logistics to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of commercial electrical experience.
  • 2+ years of experience leading an electrical crew.
  • Working knowledge of the National Electrical Code (NEC) and OSHA safety standards (OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 a plus).
  • Proven ability to read and work independently from blueprints, schematics, and specifications.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
  • Active Virginia Journeyman Electrician license preferred; Virginia Master Electrician license preferred for larger jobs.
  • Experience across commercial tenant improvements (TI), light industrial, and small ground-up projects preferred.
  • Bilingual crew leadership (English/Spanish) is a plus.
  • Estimating or material take-off experience is a plus for candidates looking to advance along a Project Manager track.
